The lion is cute looking, but is very small compared to my daughters Melissa and Doug Pony that she LOVES and still uses now at 3 years old. The roar is like a real life lion and actually made my son cry. I thought it would be cute like my daughter's rocking horse, but my son will grow out of it in the next 6mos, and it is scarey. I am so bummed I paid the shipping to get it by Christmas. Huge disappointment.

My 15 month old loved it the moment it was pulled out of the packaging box. She cuddles and pets it every morning and talks to it all day. It took her a few days before she could get comfortable riding it. The movement is slow and it's balanced design allows a safe rocking motion. It's a great little rocking lion.
